Dartmouth Climate
Visitors learn that Dartmouth’s weather is not an extreme winterland; surrounded by water, the climate is maritime and experiences mild periodic winds and plenty of fog. Summers are long from April to October, coupled by a sometimes icy winter. April through September, temperatures range around 10-15ºC, while average winter temperatures range from -2 to -5ºC.
Getting There & Around
Fly into Halifax Stanfield International Airport if coming from outside of Canada; shuttles leave from the airport by the hour.Reach Dartmouth by ferrying from Halifax or take one of the two bridges that cross into Halifax Harbour. If travelling by car, take the Canadian circumferential highway circling around to the downtown historic district.
Most will find walking around a lovely option, or once your legs tire, take a local bus.
