Charlottetown Climate

Charlottetown is full of activities and festivals year round, and each season offers different scenic delights. However, the fall and winter months provide a special treat with striking snow-lined streets and yearly holiday lights. Winter temperatures can range from 3°C to 22°C, and summer temperatures are around 20°C to as high as the mid-30s.

Getting There & Around

Prince Edward Island can be reached by a 90-minute ferry trip from Nova Scotia. By car, it’s a 10-minute drive from New Brunswick on the mainland and across the Confederation Bridge. Once on the island, buses go regularly through the capital of Charlottetown. Charlottetown also has its own airport, with flights arriving from select Canadian and US cities, such as Toronto, Halifax and New York.

Charlottetown is a compact city that prides itself on clean, attractive walkways, and all attractions and points of interest can be easily reached on foot.
