Good location, a little run down and basic but clean. Breakfast finishes at 9 so didn't get a chance to try it. In comparison to other cities, ridiculously overpriced but that's London!

It was a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in. A bit noisy during night but the bed was nice. Low price and good location (walking distance for the average fit person to all Londons tourist sights)

Accomodation should be repaired, especially bathroom. The room was smoke-filled.

Good location and some of the staffs are quite friendly (different people everyday as they are working part-time). Six-storey building (including lower ground) but avoid level 4 and 5, as there is no lift and the staircase is narrow and very rigid. Quite good breakfast although it is served somewhere else (next two doors); friendly kitchen staffs. Indoor facilities are bad; only 2 towels even though registered for 3 guests, no chair/table, old tv set with bad signal, indoor coffee/tea never been refill, no shampoo. Wi-fi available for guest who brought own laptop.

Too cramped. Too small corridors. Too small everything. A mid size Swede have deep trouble existing in this kind of hotel.

Great location and price - 6 min walk into Oxford St or 1 min to lots of buses and 7 min to paddo station (direct train from heathrow). friendly staff and good breakfast. Good price considering it is London and Regents Palace has closed down.

We expected the hotel to be of a certain standard because it had three stars, but the room was tiny and not too clean. A small refrigerator, containing an opened soft drink, was placed on a chest of drawers and on top of it all was a TV set - only one channel worked! The light was poor only - one lampet worked! Worst was the steep staircase to the third floor.

The hotel i small and has carpets on the floors that are not especielly clean. Much traffic on the road (Sussex Gardens) made it a bit hard to sleep. The english breakfast in the hotell nearby was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good.

I was simply shocked by the hotel. Very dirty, no central heating during the day. And I was told that I have the best room in their place.... Hot water not always available! It spoiled the whole image of London....

No way is this a 3 star, 1 at best. Room was dirty and there was no way I would eat in the room pretending to be the restaraunt. This was next door and down some dark stairs and seemed more like a soup kitchen. The only thing going foe this hotel was that the staff were very polite and friendly. Definitely pay a bit more and avoid this.

The location of the hotel is ideal for any visitors to London. The most disappointing aspect of my visit was the poor quality of the breakfast which consisted of cereal, coffee & toast.Breakfast was taken at the hotel next door!

Very very poor hotel, overpriced for what it was, shower didnt work at all in one room and no towels provided. General state of the hotel was appalling, full breakfast was confirmed at time of booking but hotel did not do full breakfast on bank holidays! Most unwellcoming hotel I have ever stayed in.

How this place has 3 AA stars, I will never know. The only positive comment I have regarding the Camelot is that it was a conveinient location. the staff were OK, and probably made the best of what they were given to work with. I have stayed in basic hotels, but they have been clean, attractive rooms with all the facilities you would expect for £75. The room at the Camelot however, was a dump. It looked dirty and probably was. A kettle was supplied but no cups. 1 bath towel, no hand towels(for 2 people), shower with no pressure, no toiletries supplied, 1 pillow per person which seemed like they were 20 years old. I suggest a tetanus shot for anyone who has stayed at the Camelot.

If only the hotel matched the details shown on their literature and the website, tired decor and basic facilities but brilliant breakfast with helpful staff. Just about worth the deal.
