Camden Lock Hotel London Guest Reviews
Stayed 4 nights for business. Opposite my room a pub with loud music each evening to midnight. However, with my earplugs no problem. Location is great and close to Camden center, only 2 minute walk to tube station and 5-8 stops to center of London. Many small restaurants with good food nearby. 5 minute walk to Camden Stables market, a must see. Roundhouse performance hall across the street. Room very simple, but adequate and with tea/coffee maker. Bathroom had no electricity plug for the shaver and room only UK plugs. Hence also GSM charging was a challenge.

First let me say I didn't expect much! Hotelclub overcharged us so make sure you book on their website. \the room was nice and clean very small but still doable. The staff was rude ( 1 lady with glasses) sahe didn't want to help us out if we had questions, etc... the location is the best ! Camden Markets and the whole area is one of the best I've stayed in in London. Loved it! I would maybe return but the bad staff, uncomfortable beds, long flights of stairs with luggage and priciness might make me think twice. The cafe it is connected to is nice though.

My husband and I stayed here October 4-7, 2011 as the last leg of our 3-week European adventure so we had stayed in a lot of hotels at this point. The location worked out great for us, it was minutes from the Chalk Farm exit on the Northern line of the tube. We were able to walk to restaurants and the Camden Markets which we enjoyed. It was about a 20 minute tube ride to get to where the London and Tower Bridges are and the tube was clean and easy to use. This hotel is older and the bathroom is extremely small but we were there to see London not our hotel room so it worked out great. It was cool while we were there so we didn't need the window in our room open a lot which was good because it was a bit loud with the window open as our room was facing the street.

Perfect location for a stay in Camden - and London in general since the Chalk Farm tube station is just across the street of the hotel. Nice breakfast in the café.

stayed there the night that I went to see a gig at the Roundhouse - and for that the location literally just across the road is absolutely unbeatable. It's also good for the Camden markets hustle and bustle, and the underground station round the corner links the place to the rest of London. It's a cheap deal for London - and you get what you pay for in this context, i.e. not much beyond a place to crash safely. Internet didn't work, facilities are sparse (but just about sufficient), the room small and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. But OK for a night or two if you don't mind making do with just basic comfort.
