The Cala di Volpe is located in front of the sea, on a gorgeous section of the city's rambla. The hotel is just a few metres from Punta Carretas Shopping Centre, Golf Club, Mercosur Administrative Offices and it is also close to various tourist attractions.

The restaurant food was very nice and well priced for the quality. Perhas the portion sizes were a little small. There was lack of English speaking staff on at times. Breakfast had a good selection and was of good quality. We would not have paid the normal price for this hotel. Very over priced for what it is. The promo price is reasonable.

We couldn't have been more pleased by the hotel. It's a boutique hotel - which is a style we especially like as it's more personal and smaller. The people at the front desk were very helpful and courteous. They had one young lady, Mary, who is fluent in English, having worked in the USA hotel market. She went out of her way to help us - confirming flight information, getting bus schedules, making phone calls for us, etc. I would highly recommend the hotel. The restaurant food was good and overall the hotel was a great experience. We had a good view of the water and it's located about a block from a very nice shopping mall where we were able to buy an international phone/calling card, and exchange dollars at the bank. It's easy to catch a taxi from the hotel or mall. We would absolutely stay there again if we ever return to Uruguay.

Excellent service!!! The hotel has a fantastic location. All the rooms have a view to the ocean. The people were extremely nice. The price of $62 per night (with breakfast) was a very good price for the value. The area is a safe area in Montevideo. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Montevideo.

This hotel was so nice to stay at.Its location on the rambla is good,nice ocean views,close to restaurants,shopping mall and easily found by taxi drivers.Rooms are nice and clean,big enough.English is spoken by some staff,reception staff are helpfull(Christian is very helpful)and the breakfast and restaurant is wonderful.I will certainly stay here again,it made our reunion with my 2 sisters just great.One thing though,the rooms on the lower 2 floors do get a bit of the noise from the function room+restaurant,but when we asked to be moved(at 11pm)it wasn't a problem for reception.
