Yes i am in room 505, same as coment dated oct 08, they still have the same problem for wet and smelly carpet for 3 years; extra we have towel with spot, bed with sand,one blanket for 2 pax. Reception takes 20 mins to come at after service with the wrong key supplied, another 15 mins wait. Reception open at 0815, if you need to join tour or get to airport, be very early, we nearly miss our bus. Too bad!

We booked with the full cooked breakfast which was a little skimpy but otherwise the hotle was okay.

This hotel is fine for the price though it is a decent walk (20 minutes) into the main centre of Cairns.

Recommended for very reasonable budget accomodation. The only issue I has was the poor plumbing that disturbed my sleep during the night but I'm sure the hotel would fix
