Location
Harbour Lights is near Cairns Pier, Reef Fleet Terminal and Cairns city centre and six kilometres to Cairns International Airport in North Queensland. Vacationers catch events at Cairns Convention Centre or head to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park for some local heritage exposure.

Very friendly front desk staff. We paid for a one bedroom city view apartment. Walk out the door of the hotel right onto the waterfront, very close to where the tour boats leave from. 5 minute walk to the town. Great restaurants within walking distance. Definately recommend this particular apartment style hotel.

Reasons for our rating were: We were not aware before we arrived that there was a charge of $10 for parking. The "Bar Fridge" which we consider unsuitable for a self contained unit was full of drinks for purchase leaving us little room to store food. The bathroom was very small and the living area very large for a two person unit.

We didn't realise how close it was to the Marina- it's just there! Which was perfect as we were booking a lot of boat tours for snorkelling etc. The kitchen really helped us out w the eating out budget, as eating out in cairns is quite costly. A quick trip to Woolies which was about a 10min walk and we were stocked up for brekky, snacks and dinners for our 4 night stay. Dundee's, a restaurant just underneath offers a $15.50 lunch menu which was very yum, and you can charge it to you room- my other half ordered a half-rack of ribs for $15.50 not only was it a bargain but very yum! We are def going back!! :D

don't be late.... the key card door locks work to the second at check out time! but not when one uses the lift or car park!

Room was spotless but have absolutely no idea what was going on with the tiny television up on the wall. Perfect for business trips.
