We were pretty happy with this place. It was in a great location - right on the water of Lake Taupo. There was a strange safari theme to the place, although it was very recently (i.e. a few days before we got there) changed ownership. According to one of the staff, we got an "amazing" deal on the price, so thanks!

I was in one of the smaller rooms. Everything was very clean and the proprietors very pleasant and helpful. Great value and warm on a cold winters night.

We have stayed here a few times now, always friendly clean and helpful, easy walk to Taupo central, rooms to the rear so no traffic noise and the bar/food areas are comfortable with lovely views. A real character to the place, definately recommend.Also excellent value for money.

Service and actual Hotel excellent however the room was are very small even for an economy room. Perfect for 1 guest but not really for 2.

Price is high compare to others. And facilities are limited. outdoor swimming pool and small size. not worthy for the price.
