Situated in a fantastic positiion above the Douro valley the Pousada was an ideal hotel to explore the region. Staff were excellent and our large superior grade room in the main house outstanding. Food was good with an interesting range of traditional and more modern dishes. The views down the valley from the terrance and pool were breathtaking. Quite an expensive hotel but good value for money.
