Budapest Marriott Hotel
4 out of 5

We arrived at the hotel at 0330 due to a delayed flight by British Airways (Suggest you try another carrier for your trip) Initially we were allocated a room that stank from a cigar smoker, a polite request to the deskresulted in the immediate allocation of another room. Waking in the morning we were inspired by the magnificent view across the Danube (Duna) to the Imperial Palace and the mountains of Buda. In our 3 day stay the hotel facilities were found to be excellent, good cafe & Restaurants convenient location for sightseeing & shopping & central for city walking & river tours.

Most dissappointing hotel I have ever stayed in. The place actually smelt of serwage!!! Front desk taff were juniors/trainees with no idea of what a five star hotel service should be. The manager would only visit to take over situation if pressed. Concergie spent most of his time in the sun chatting to taxi drivers. Even had to be asked to assist get luggage out of taxi. I would never stay at this hotel again! Disgusted.

Fantastic Hotel on the river. We arrived at 10am in the morning after an overnight train expecting to leave our bags for the day but were able to check in and have showers, etc. Absolutely fabulous. Recommend this to anyone.

The hotel is in a great position with a fantastic view of the Danube and castle area. There is extensive renovations happening at the hotel so there were sections that were closed off and noise might become a problem in the future. However still within walking distance of all the main attractions and bars and restaurants so would highly recommend staying there.

Our stay at the Marriott Hotel Budapest was delightful. We stayed on the executive floor (10th), enjoyed a perfect view, and appreciated the amenities of the executive lounge. While the hotel is not much to look at from the outside, inside it is beautifully decorated, clean, and welcoming. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, all speaking English fluently. The American breakfast buffet was delicious. With its perfect location on the Pest side of the Danube, with stellar views of the Castle District and Chain Bridge, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this fine hotel.

The view, across the Danube, from my balcony in the morning was stunning. As I booked the Hotel under this website, the 'Hot Deal' was exceptionally good value, far below the rack price. All the staff were very friendly and professional. The lady pianist in the bar was just an added bonus to a delightful stopover.

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. I would never have stayed there if I hadn't gotten the great rate through your website. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the gym was very nice, especially for a hotel gym and the breakfast was huge. Try to get a room facing the river as the view of the other bank is amazing at night.
