We arrived about 2200 hrs, only 1 person on duty in the whole hotel. No arrangements were made to collect us from the airport and when we tried phoning no one answered the phone. The room was excellent.Breakfast was mediocre. Again, only one staff member, doing everything. The hotel seemed extremely run down - I would suggest it needs a good shake up and probably a new manager. (We never saw or heard of him!) - an attractive building not far from the airport it should be doing much better.

What a really lovely hotel. The staff were very welcoming & helpful. The room was large with 2 cosy armchairs & the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. We dined in the restaurant & the food was superb. It was a little difficult to find but a local lady soon helped us out. I would have no hesitation using this hotel again.

Very friendly, helpful and willing to please. Excellent food. A very good hotel a few minutes away from Stansted and somewhere we would choose again should we fly from that airport again.

I booked a single room and ended up with something more akin to a large suite. Great character and friendly staff. Food was expensive and not a great choice, but the room rate is much cheaper than elsewhere so all evens out in the end.
