Brook Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa Chester Guest Reviews
A wondeful hotel in fantastic surroundings, on approaching you glimpse a vison of a small small castle. On entering the hotel there was nobody to greet us, after a condiderable wait a recptionist arrived and booked us in without a smile or welcome. Staff were very thin on the ground, people wandered raound aimlessly looking for someone to serve them, particularly at the bar. Staff were having to work in the restaurant and the bar, which was ude to staff illness, or so we were told. The hotel had some wonderful fire places and was decked with Christmas trees and wreaths etc. The food served in the restaurant at night was very good and the room was comfortable. The bathroom was huge, however, the radiator and heated towel rail did not work during our stay which meant that the room was very cold. Having stated the above, I did love the character of the hotel and in all fairness it has just been taken over. The place has great potential and I would stay there again.

The only issue with this beautiful hotel is the standard of the breakfast. The morning we stayed they ran out of milk for the cerial and we were amoung the first in the dinning room. The catering lets this hotel down but everything else is perfect, the facilities, the setting and the rooms. The staff are also wonderful. The management needs to address this as a priority and stop trying to cater on a shoestring. This is a 4 star hotel afterall.

Bar was unstaffed when I tried to order a drink and it was supposed to be open. Otherwise, amazing hotel, very very good price and the rooms are the best I've ever see in a hotel, exceptionally large and spacious.

Crabwall Manor was a comfortable hotel with great facilities, however its decor was dated and general standard of upkeep was poor ie damp patches on bedroom ceilings and threadbare carpets. Dinner was included in our package for the first night and was not of a very high standard, other guests around us were complaining that the food was inedible which did not instill confidence prior to our meal being served. Overall the staff were responsive and friendly and the spa facilities were fab. We had a good time but it could have been great!
