refuse to get in by the staff with bad attitude at the midnight time

In Manchester for a conference. The hotel is perfectly sited in the city centre. Good sized room, very clean. No frills, but none expected at the price (37.50 per night). The hotel does look to be built upon and closely related to 2/3 nightclubs which might deter weekend stays. Would be delighted to stay again.

I chose this hotel for a one night stay - a flying visit to Manchester. I needed something cheap and convenient - it was both. The staff were friendly and welcoming; the room was clean and comfortable and ok the hotel may be a little tired in parts but it was decent and very good value.

The room was clean but small like most London Hotels. The room had no windows but only a skylight vent that opened at the pull of a string. this saved us to some degree because even with the radiator turned off the room became so hot during the night we needed to open it. the bed was worn and saggy in the middle. TV only had like 4 stations. Location was good for sightseeing. Probably would not stay here again.

Room had no window only a skylight, was very hot and miserable, especially on 5th floor. Also heard music through walls of some dance club. Could also hear next door turning off/on light switches sounded like they were coming through the door. Found a whole fingernail on the bathroom floor corner. Fixtures were rusted. Not a great hotel experience at all.

Centrally located in the city centre. Near Arndale shopping centre and the main shopping area. Also walking distance to Shudehill bus station. Comfortable rooms with free wi-fi.

Nice location but the lift need refurbishment and additional one to better serve guests because just two lifts are not sufficient to effectively serve the guests.

As a regular visitor to Manchester, this was my first time staying in the Britannia. I was quite apprehensive about it due to some reviews on here. But from the minute I checked in early to when I left, it all went very well. Room was a litte dated, but other than that my stay was perfect. I had a room at the back, it was incredibly quiet and the location really is unrivalled.

After reading previous reviews I was nervous about my stay but after arriving and having a smooth quick check in and seeing that our room was clean and comfortable I relaxed about it and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a Brilliant location, close to shops and bars. Yes the rooms are a little dated and could do with decorating but were very clean. Overall a great weekend.

The main reception area is beautiful and the hotel is in a good central location. Our room was small, looked tired and needs some updating especially the bathroom.

Booked single room for one night (room only) and for the price, I can't complain. Room was small but as I only wanted a bed for the night it suited me perfectly. As a one-off I would definately recommend, but if looking for more luxury then look elsewhere. Location is perfect for anything in Manchester.

location is brilliant but can be noisy depending on the room your allocated, but done the job for me while i was in manchester. if your not too fussy then this is a hotel for you as some rooms are a bit dated, wand walls a bit too thin, but nice hotel
