Brilliant Resorts & Spa Kunming Guest Reviews
We spent two nights here in May, 2010 and really enjoyed our stay. Although there is little English spoken by staff they did there very best to accommodate all our requests. The spa at the resort is amazing especially the hot pools which is world class. Massages are quite expensive (1000 yuan approx) but there are one or two cheaper options. The location is an issue but it was great for a relaxing weekend away from Hong Kong. Transfers to local sights are very expensive so I would suggest trying to arrange alternatives. We could have paid close to 2000 yuan to see the Yuantong Zen Buddhist Temple but managed to see it for about 50 yuan all up before we caught our flight (taxi from airport + entrance fee). Food is actually quite good and we ended up eating more of the local menu than the international menu. If we went back to Kunming we would stay one night in Kunming and would definitely go back to Brilliant Resort for one night to experience the spa etc.
