We vacationed at Breezes Grand Negril from 11/19/11 – 11/26/11. The hotel’s grounds and rooms are very nice. The beach area, especially the clothing optional beach was beautiful and we met some wonderful people. However, the same cannot be said about this resort’s idea of superior customer service. Starting with check-in, the front desk person was cold and gave us little information about the resort. She gave the impression that it was an inconvenience to show us to our room. Upon entry we heard a constant high pitch noise coming from the air conditioner. The front desk employee said they would send a repair person out. It took 3 calls and an hour and half later for a repair guy to show up. When I mention the delay the repair guy said “Nobody is perfect” and never apologized. Service in the restaurants as well as the breakfast buffet was slow and the attitude of the servers was unhappy and to some extent hostile. We are not demanding guests and were used to vacationing in Cancun where we received outstanding customer service. In fact we thanked all employees who were serving us. The only exception was the clothing optional bar and grill. The employees there were very friendly and accommodating even though there was little or no beach service. Activities were practically zero in that area of the beach although a schedule was listed daily. No one showed up until my husband requested a volleyball from the bar for a game of water volleyball. Entertainment and service was nice in the piano bar, but in terms of anywhere else it was fair to poor. We ended up spending an evening at Hedonism II one night and the customer service, food and entertainment was far superior. In fact our beverage glasses were never empty and all employees greeted us with a smile. Hard to believe since they are only across the street and owned by the same company Super Clubs. On our final night at the Breezes General Manager Gala the quality of food, service and entertainment took a drastic turn for the better and surprised us. I know it was because upper management was present, but where was this type of service when we checked in 6 days before? Upon check-out when I was asked how I liked my stay, I told them honestly that we were disappointed with the service and would not be back. The assistant manager of the hotel then sat down and spoke with me and I outlined both the positives and the negatives. She seemed surprised and then offered us 2 nights free stay if we would come back. The final experience pretty much capped it all off. When I turned in our survey to the front desk, François, one of the young activity employees, looked over my shoulder to read my form and then very arrogantly asked me if I had mentioned him on my form. I told him no, that we had never met before and that his team did not come to the clothing optional beach. He of course denied it, but both the front desk and other customers overheard what I said. At this point we would probably return to Jamaica with a stay at Hedonism II and then take advantage of the free 2 night stay at Breezes Grand Negril. However, I doubt we will spend our vacation dollars at Breezes Grand Negril until we hear that their service matches the beautiful surroundings of the resort.

Breezes Negril has done a nice job of trying to pick up the overflow from the loss of Braco/Rio Bueno. Staff and facility were nice.....au natural facilities were adequate, but beach area was limited, and rocky in shalow waters. A needed addition would be Restroom facilities for au natural pool/bar area. All in all, a good take.
