Great location with friendly staff but tired rooms with very thin curtains. Don't expect to sleep in!

With the nights we stayed we had a comfortable room with a great deal of space. It was a little disappointing that the room we had was on a lower floor so there was no view to speak of, even when requested a view as we had a friend with us from the US so the planned water or city view was a no go. Pity. The location was good with a grocery mart across the way that also served breakfast was a great stop and a very cool "hole in the wall" cafe direct across from the hotel. However the city is a bit of a distance from the hotel, but still a nice 15min stroll 20 mins to the heart of shopping and restaurants. There was also a walk way over the traffic that lead to the gardens and lakeside which made for another nice evening stroll. Parking was available at a cost. All in all a clean well presented hotel, pleasant staff and a place I'd stay again

This hotel is in a good location. The views across to the parliamentary triangle are great. In the middle of a Canberra winter I think that they could have had electric blankets or warmer doonas on the beds. It was also a shame that staff didn't explain the heating arrangements for the rooms.

Room was great but there was a group of young people who partied on until 4am ... did not get much sleep.
