The Barbados Beach Club was a very nice resort to stay at. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were always very friendly and eager to help. The beach was very clean and the water was beautiful!

The overall experience at the hotel was good but I'd say very average at the most. Cleanliness of the room was super- smelled delightful when the maid finished. Room and bed very fine. My disappointment was in the food and drink. Limited drinks at the bar especially if you dont like rum. Would have been better if the bar served wine. The buffet food was mediocre. The fine dining was done very well but the menu was limited to only two entrees without extra payment- then when you'd found something you liked- next time you got it- it didn't wasn't the same. Service in the restuarant and bar was very good. Hotel service not so good- we needed an air conditioner remote as we couldn't change the temp or shut it off with out it. Finally received on on the lasdt night of our week long stay- and only after a friend who has stayed there six years in a row complained for us--we had just given up after asking twice. I think if I went to the Island again- I'd try somewhere else.

We chose Barbados Beach Club because we wanted the all-inclusive option at an affordable price. Although it was affordable, we were disappointed in the resort and the food. We realized for a couple hundred dollars more we could've stayed at a much nicer all-inclusive, such as Almond. Barbados Beach Club is old and run down. They were doing work on the buildings and grounds while we were there, but it has a way to go. At one point we felt like the only guests staying there as it seemed so deserted at the pool and at dinner. The room was large and comfortable, with nice view, but had old, dark outdated furniture. The beach was very small, but quiet and relaxing with nice clean, turquoise water. There were no beach activities such as kayaking and snorkeling like they advertised on the description. You also had to drag your own beach chair to your desired location on the beach. The food was very average. They only had one restaurant open, the buffett, but they advertised another sit down restaurant that you make reservations for 3 times during the week. This one seemed to be under renovation, which they did not mention. Some evenings we enjoyed the selection, especially when they served local Carribbean dishes. Other nights we did not enjoy the food, Oriental and Italian dishes. It was not a large buffet or selection like we've had at other all-inclusive resorts. They did'nt even have coffee at breakfast. We spent quite a bit of extra money dining out, especially lunch, because we did not want the buffet. Evening entertainment was lame. Every night but one it was a local DJ who played bad 70's music catering to the older guests. Overall, the beach was nice and there's lots to do in the area. We walked most days down to St. Lawrence Gap and other beaches where there was more going on.
