Botel Racek Prague
3 out of 5

The room was surprisingly quiet and peaceful, despite facing the riverside road instead of the river itself. The food in the restaurant is quite delicious, I highly recommend the pork cutlet Prague style. Only complaints - WiFi only works in restaurant/bar, which closes at 11 unless there is a large group occupying it. Parking is unattended, and they take pains to explain they are not responsible for any damage -- yet it costs an extra 100 CZK per day. Bottom line - you get what you are paying for, the location is a 15 min walk to the heart of downtown, and rooms are cleaned/turned over daily.

Although some distance from the centre of Prague, there is a tram just 5 minutes away which travels to the centre of the city. Excellent value for money.

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel - very comfortable room and friendly staff. Although located quite far out of the city centre, the public transport system is fantastic and there is no problem getting to and from the city centre. Would definately recommend this hotel!

really friendly botel, staff all very helpfull. Dont leave any loose change in your rooms as the cleaners will have off with things like that. Food in the resturant is great in the evenings, really tasty and filling. The drinks at breakfast though are an experience in themselves (bring your own) and id would agree that there is a sweet tabacco smell everywhere (most strange). Overall a fantastic place i would love to visit again and cant to.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel upon arrival. Basic English spoken at the reception and a clean and warm room. Went to reception to organise a taxi it arrived within 15 mins went to the city.

Very clean and comfortable with helpful staff and good food. Very handy to get into town, 3 min walk to Tram stop and 10 min tram ride. I would definitely stay here again when in Prague.

This hotel is not directly in city center but it's very well linked 24h/24 by tramway.

A good, economical alternative to an inner-city hotel. Only a 15 minute tram ride to the Charles Bridge.

My husband and I found this Hotel to be very accessible for the centre of Prague. The Tram was within easy walking distance. In addition the Hotel was a mine of information concerning such things as acceptable taxi fares and tram timetables

Botel Racek can be recommended at all times. It is a good location to stay with wonderful view of the Vltava from its terrace .

This botel was clean and tidy and adequate for the price that was paid (decor was stuck in the eighties). The staff were helpful, although not many spoke english. The location was perfect for catching the local trams, which stopped right outside and gave us a direct link to the centre of Prague. (approx 5 mins travel)
