Sarajevo Climate

The climate of this region shows evidence of diverse climactic influences, which inhibit some otherwise humid, subtropical tendencies. High temperatures in summer will occasionally exceed 40ºC, while low temperatures in winter will plummet to -25ºC.

Getting There & Around

You can fly directly into the International Airport in Sarajevo, which receives flights from many major carriers. These include both Lufthansa and Norwegian Airlines. If you are not staying in a hotel while in town, be aware that you are required to register with the police within 24 hours of arrival.

The metropolitan area has an effective system of public transport in the form of buses. You can buy all-day, unlimited travel passes inexpensively or simply purchase tickets for each ride. However, it's important to keep your paperwork in order since inspectors board these buses frequently.
