The hotel was selected for convenience as we were attending a family christening so used very few of the amenities but would recommend the free pass to the Sports Centre (it is a 5 min drive but well worth it) . The hotel has a quiet location (even with a wedding and despite being adjacent to a motorway).Although it was fully occupied the staff efficiently served breakfast to us all with a smile and personnel attention. This continued for us for the next 2 days of our stay and the dinning room has a great view over the garden and waterfall. Our room was a little tired but had everything you needed.

i don't do cooked breakfast - but i loved this one. fresh cooked vege breakfast. lovely. old style motel accomodation with recent makeover. spotless room with modern compact bathroom. you can use a local fitness club - which was fab. overall a very comfortable stay. i did feel awkward keep needing to ask for leisure & wifi passes each day. think i'd return at the right price.

Nothing spectacular, but gets all the basics right. Clean, tidy, no-frills room. Decent breakfast and friendly, helpfull staff. Location a bit isolated - need to either drive or get a taxi to get anywhere...

I booked this as a romantic treat for my other half who had been away for a month. The same time as I booked it online, i called the hotel and asked for a quiet room (as previous reviews had said that they have lots of weddings/tribute nights on and it can get very noisy until the early hours). I was told that I would be given a quiet room...aswell as a refurbished superior room. On check in, there was an 18th birthday party on with 200 guests... told that the room I was in was away from the noise..but was a basic standard room..and it was fully booked so couldnt be changed. The room was very, very basic, the curtains didnt fit the window so light came through at both sides..the bed was squeeky and soft...and the toilet wouldnt flush. I called to reception and told them..they said they were very busy and somebody would be up in half an hour. an hour later, we couldnt relax and unwind as were still waiting. called again...told to wait further...this was annoying as we wanted a quiet night in with a bottle of wine...but were sat around waiting for somebody to come and fix the toilet. After another 20 minutes, we called again and asked to change rooms..told none were available so asked for a refund and we would leave...said it was non refundable. in the end my fella took the cistern apart and messed with the toilet till the flush started to work. so much for our romantic reunion night!! we were happy to check out in the morning and leave! at breakfast, i didnt want a full english so asked for the other options on the menu (croissants and selection of cheeses)...neither were available. So i asked for just toast. I got brought one piece. at this point I had passed caring and was happy to just go rather that wait around or another slice of lukewarm bread. Hotel is ok for somewhere to stay for a night...but keep away if for a romantic night together..unless you have low standards!!
