i booked at the big 4 because i have a child and love the people that normally stay at camp grounds but was a little disapointed at the room for the price. not what the picture shows!! but seeing that its only 10 mins away from the city centre i guess i cant conplane.

Big 4 Melbourne Ashley Gardens. Cabin 102. This was a very comfortable place although it needed some repairs. The toilet didn't work properly and there was a light fitting about to fall out of the ceiling and a stove that was damaged by being put in the wrong sized opening. Making toast set off the smoke detector. Being an isolated cabin, it got very cold at night, but we found a heater and warmed up the bedroom. The living room has a heater and air conditioner. It is a holiday place, too, so we had kids bouncing balls. Noise levels from traffic were very low. It had a good BBQ (free) and Internet and laundry (not free). We enjoyed it. It was a fun place to stay. The staff were great. It is out in the suburbs and about a 20 minute drive to the city.
