Lacking in service in Pub. Order wrong, redone and then cold. Plenty of staff just not effectively used. Enjoyed hotel, town, ambiance.

After reading about this hotel on this and other sites I had high expectations. I feel they came close in one and excelled in most of the other expectations for an overall wonderful experience. True Victorian charm, a wonderful staff from front desk to wait staff in the dining room and pub to maid service all made for a relaxing and totally enjoyable while visiting the area. The menu selections and the food was very good quality and served with friendly and professional courtesy. It is an older facility, but they have renovated it to limit inconveniences. Our room was quiet and comfortable, maintained a level of coolness even with being on the western side of the building as long as we used the ceiling fan with the thermostat down. We have family in the area now, so we hope to take advantage of this hotel's charms again soon.
