I was picked at the airport after 50 minutes after calling twice, the driver didn't even open the door the keep luggage. I booked a King room Through Rates to Go and paid extra for that, however Hotel refused to give me a king room, first given a room which was already occupied then a queen room but promised a King room next morning, even rates to go customer service didn't help, next morning different set of staff with hostile behaviour, manager shouting like an idiot tells me No king room if U don't like it check out and get out.. Utterly shocking. Continental breakfast had bare minimum varities to offer. One of the worst Hotel experience I ever had.

Except for the late 3PM check-in date, which makes it really inconvenient for you if you arrive in the morning, the hotel is a good choice in downtown Newark with easy access to NYC.

We wanted somewhere not far from the airport where we could rest our heads after a late flight and it was perfect - nice, clean room and lots to choose from for breakfast the next day.

Overall, this hotel was a nice place to stay. If you are traveling for a business trip, need to travel back and forth to NYC and are looking for a cheaper place to stay, this is the perfect place for you. It was a short distance to the city by the PATH train (the Newark Penn Station is a short walk from the hotel, about 10 minutes) and only took about 20 minutes to get to NYC. The only major downfall for this hotel is that there really isn't much at all to do in the area. Unless you have a car or are willing to travel to the city every night, you will be stuck in the hotel with nothing much to do. Also, the hotel food wasn't that great for what they charge. However, like I said before, this is a great place to stay for a business trip, especially if you do not want to spend an arm and a leg like you would in NYC.

I reserved a none smoking room, but they were going to give me a smoking room, after arguing with the staff they give me an handicap room wich i refused. so finalley after 45 min they give me a room in the lowest level of the hotel which no one has been there in a while.

Average in every way. Not special...but not scary either (and in NY you can certainly find scary at this price). Plusses are that it's close to the Newark Path station that goes direct to WTC, the rooms are decent. The breakfast room is quite good. And good value. But nothing special.

My wife and I stayed over Saturday night and went to NYC via the PATH trains. Everything was close by and the room was very clean and comfortable. We'll definitely be going back.

The hotel is in the heart of the business district of Newark and very convenient to New York locations. All the staff were very friendly, the rooms are a decent size, the bed very comfortable. The decor of the room and the Hotel was nice. The refrigerator in the room was an added convenience and the continental breakfast was filling. I highly recommend this Hotel for both family and business stays. I look forward to another stay in the future; this was my second stay this year.

Everything for this hotel is good. Free shuttle, breakfast, internet are big plus. Only thing which I found bad is front desk representative at night. He was very rude whenever I called him to pick up from aiport or train station.

<10 minutes to Newark Penn Station and a 40 minute ($1.75) PATH train into downtown NYC. The price differential for this time investment is great if you're looking to make a budget business trip (since late nights on the City would make the 40 minute return less reasonable). The staff was nice & professional, the amenities were nice as well, but though the room was clean there was this... smell. Like wet beach towel. Again, it's a value, but not luxury.

Great value compared to hotel rates in NYC. Free shuttle to Penn station NJ is a big plus, it's trying to get back that's an issue. Out of 4 days, we only were able to get a shuttle back to the hotel only once. After calling multiple times and being lied to by the front desk regarding shuttle ETA we wound up walking back most times (which isn't too long, but a pain after having spent an entire day walking in the city). Other than that, we saved lots of $$ staying here as opposed to NYC. Taking the subway was a piece of cake and the room was clean and pretty. The restaurant in the hotel was too expensive for being so average (not recommended). Parking was convenient, free and secured. I would definately return to this hotel for $90 up to $120 a night.

I visited NYC for 3 day tour. Stayed here and commuted to NYC via New Jersey transit. It only takes about 20 min from Newark Penn Station. From hotel, there is a complimentary shuttle service running to Newark Penn Station. Very convenient. I advise to take taxi or shuttle after 7 PM from Newark Penn Station to the hotel since there are some homelesses nearby hotel. Room was very clean and service was great. Morning breakfast was just some bagles + juice + eggs held in business center (of course, self served). But better than nothing as always.
