Best Western Lord Haldon Country House Hotel Exeter Guest Reviews
I took advantage of the low rates through Hotel club, and was impressed particularly with the service. Internet was free, although wireless could be weak signal. Reasonable size room, very flexible with meals, and bar opening. No complaints, and great location for outlook, view etc. A bit of a winding road back to Exeter, but it really is not far. Car park large and free. A great deal.

This hotel is situated in the countryside with beautiful views over the surrounding area. Ideal for a quiet break and walks.

We only stayed for one night, but found all the staff we encountered to be friendly and exceptionally helpful. The hotel is in a rural location and set in beautiful grounds, which is great for a quiet break. We arrived quite late in the evening, but the chef willingly stayed on to cook us a meal, which was excellent. The room was warm and the bed comfortable, although the decor was showing some early signs of looking tired. This was not out of place in such a beautiful old building. We would have no hesitation returning to this hotel.

Wonderful old building out in beautiful contryside but bedroom in need of decorating. It had a lovely thick divan bed, lots of coffee/tea/milk & chocolate drinks and lovely biscuits which is unusual these days. One well-known chain only gives one packet (with 2 biscuits) perroom, but sadly the bathroom/toilet had thick carpet and one wonders how many times it had been soaked enabling germs to breed especially as shower over bath leaked through screen so if around toilet had been wet what could have been lurking in carpet!?
