When we checked in, the person working the front desk was all business. We were checked in promptly, however, he never smiled or welcomed us to the motel. The employee working in the morning was much nicer. Our air conditioner in our room would not cool the room down. The water in the shower fluctuated from warm to scalding hot to freezing cold. The breakfast wasn't anything special but it certainly wasn't awful. The beds don't get made if there are personal items on them, which is good, but we weren't told that when we checked in. We most likely won't stay there again.

The location had its perks but also a slight downfall. It was conveniently located just a few miles from the Power and Light District and the Plaza. However, this part of Southwest Boulevard that it was located on was kind of sketchy. Loved the shuttle service that they offered. All of the staff we encountered (front desk, shuttle, and breakfast) were all very, very friendly. I would stay here again.

Has a shuttle to take you to the action spots. Not much near the hotel. It's near a train crossing and a firehouse so be prepared for some unexpected noise. Overall good value.

It wasn't too bad. I do think the price was a little high for what they offered. The bed was comfortable and they do have a good breakfast. I think the price should go down a bit. But all in all not to shaby. When you got a budget you really can't complain all that much.

This Kansas City Best Western served us pretty well for our overnight stay - was just passing through the city. The staff was friendly and helpful, the place appeared to be clean and well-maintained. Our room was comfortable, quiet and clean - the only 'hitch' being that we noticed a slightly odd smell when we first walked into the room (like they'd attempted to get rid of the odor of a previous guest who smoked, but didn't quite get it 100%); though after the first few minutes we'd forgotten it was even there. Location-wise it was decent as far as we could tell: a few choices of dining places nearby, and not too far a drive from places like the WWI Memorial/Museum. They provided free continental breakfast which was decent, but not quite as 'substantial' as some travelers are used to (no bagels, no biscuits/gravy, at least not during our stay). Overall though, a good and comfortable place to stay at an affordable price.
