Location
The Montecarlo is a seventeenth century palazzo with all the comforts of a modern hotel, and its position amongst the narrow streets makes it a popular place to stay. Guests can also enjoy a day out on the island of Murano with its glass museum and the Campo San Stefano.

I believe the most important thing in a hotel is where is located, so based on this, i believe this is a great option. It is not expensive and the breakfast was included an it was very very good, the people at the front desk very friendly and helpful and as I said, perfect location, just a few meters away from piazza san marco, close to restaurants, shops, gelatto, we were very happy with this hotel!

It is very seldom that I take the time to write a review but this time I feel compelled to provide some feedback. Based on location, price and customer feedback we selected the Montecarlo Hotel and we were really very pleased with our choice that fully satisfied all these criteria: ideal location in a rather quiet street (once you found it) close to St. Marks Square, nice and very clean room with a comfortable bed and Venetian decoration, rich cold and warm breakfast buffet and an extremely helpful and friendly staff. We definitely will choose this place again without any hesitation.

We arrived at night time so it was a bit hard to find the hotel in the dark. However, the location is very good- close to St Marks Square, and within 5 minutes walking distance to Rialto Bridge. The rooms are very clean but a bit old and, as you should expect with Venice, tiny. The lift was very tiny too- it could fit maybe only 2 people + luggage at the one time. The breakfast is delicious and generous, with plenty of hot food (a toaster, eggs, sausages), fruits, pastries, juice etc. The hotel staff are very helpful and can speak English very well. For a 3 star hotel, this hotel is quite good value for money.

The location of the hotel was excellent! All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay at this hotel again on returning to Venice.
