Lovely hotel with pretty grounds and surrounding area. Rooms and restaurant nice, with lovely, reasonably priced food. Would stay again.

Excellent hotel in beautiful surroundings. The bathroom was huge and well equiped with separate shower enclosure and deep bath tub.The king size bed very comfortable. Ha-Ha restaurant has an extensive menu and wine list. Highly recommended.

The room we had was very spacious, clean and comfortable with good views over the garden. The hotel is sat in beautiful grounds and it's well worth taking a walk around the lake and seeing the recently renovated features in the park. The bar and reception areas in the old part of the hotel are very nice with superb views. We ate in the Ha-Ha bistro which is expensive but runs special offers at weekends, the food, service and atmosphere was good.

My stay at the hotel was brief but the hotel accommodation is of a very high standard. The beds are extremely large and comfortable; the rooms are well furnished and the bathrooms are the largest I have ever seen in a hotel (large free-standing bath with a separate walk in shower big enough for 2 people). The hotel itself is in a wonderful location just a bit tricky to find on a cold November evening! The staff were warm and friendly particularly the Receptionist who was very welcoming and really made me feel at home. The breakfast had everything you could possibly want including full English or continental with a good supply of fresh fruit. This hotel should really be 4 star and fantastic value for money but keep it to yourself or the room rates will go up.
