Best Western Golden Sails Hotel Long Beach Guest Reviews
Nothing special, but relatively inexpensive, with nice people. Good value. I've never actually taken advantage of the meals provided. This is the third time I've stayed, first time in the "hotel" part (that is, the internal halled areas). I prefer the "motel" part (the exterior doors), as they seem to be in slightly better shape and parking is a lot easier. If you're going for vacation, you can probably find a nicer place, nearer the vacation-y stuff. If you're going for business, it's quick, relatively quiet, pretty clean. Nice people, and free wireless.

I just stayed three nights at this hotel and was quite happy with it. There is nothing extraordinary about the hotel but it has everything you want. It is located very close to the airport and the freeways, so it is very accessible. The room was great and the staff helpful. The restaurant is kind of sad but breakfast is really nice.

Front desk was very professional and helpful in everyway! Upgraed our room & view without any hesitation. Staff all were most friendly and willing to assist us in any and every way! They noted our stay for 6 days, offered and setup a microwave and showed us where the popcorn vending machine was. We got FREE morning breakfasts down in the hotels restaurant and were impressed with the WIDE selection of items available. The restaurant staff was very friendly and right there with refills on coffee, waters, etc.! This hotel may be a bit dated but you won't get any compaints on this from us. Grounds were gorgeous, lobby, hallways, grounds, all were very clean and immaculately groomed. They have FREE internt and computers in the room next to lobby...free exercise room, and lovely courtyard with pool, tables, and very quiet!! I'll stay at the Best Western/Golden Sailes in Long Beach on all my visits! Close to shopping, marina, access to freeways, airport and family!! THANK YOU GOLDEN SAILS FOR MAKING OUR STAY SUCH A VERY PLEASANT ONE...we will recommend your hotel to everyone!!!

My adult daughter and I were in the area for a wedding in Laguna Beach. All of the lodging locations were very expensive except this Best Western. The decor was definitely 70's, but the room was spotless and overlooked (from our balcony) the swimming pool which many guests were enjoying. A full delicious buffet breakfast was included. While there was a fleet of sailors occupying the hotel as well as a religious convention, the place was quiet. The front desk staff was very helpful in locating a great mexican restaurant (Enrique's)in a plaza across the street. I couldn't have asked for more.
