Best Western Golden Lion Hotel Anchorage Guest Reviews
Hotel was clean, room was quiet and well maintained. Everything seemed a bit cramped but overall it was a pleasant stay.

This is a low, heavy, dark bunker of a hotel, probably perfect on a cold dark Alaska winter night, but it doesn't rank too highly on curb appeal in better weather.

It is difficult to write anything positive about this hotel. Without a doubt the worst hotel I have stayed at for a long time. The hotel is a resonable distance from town but there is a bus stop outside which is very convenient. Majority of the staff were friendly and helpful but sometimes one person can spoil it for the rest. The hotel must be constructed with timber ceiling/floor joist because any noise in upper floors can be heard below. Needless to say not much sleep was had - 4am on our last night. We were not happy campers. Regretfully our first and last stay at the Golden Lion.

This hotel has good facilities but is a little out of downtown. Although there is a bus right outside that will get you there (except buses do not run often enough) I would stay there again. Staff very helpful and it was great to have a guest laundry.

Very good and comfortable hotel, a bit too expensive but in comparison with the other hotels in Anchorage not so bad. I can only recommend it.
