Best Western Crossroads Inn Gatlinburg Guest Reviews
It started when we arrived at the hotel, the desk clerk said that he had no record of our reservation. So glad that I had taken a moment to print it out. He did admit that their computers had been down for several days, so that probably explained it. He copied our confirmation receipt and gave us our room keys. We went up to the third floor to check the room, and it was AWFUL! The beds looked like they had been slept in, the carpet was filthy, there was an odor in the room. When we turned the heater on, the dust in the heater started to burn, smelling up the room. Ina few minutes I realized that I would not be able to stay in the room as I am allergic to dust and mildew. The desk clerk was helpful in moving us to a better room, which was slightly cleaner. There was a HUGE hot tub in the living room with mirrors on the wall. This would be more in place in a backyard or patio. Needless to say, it went unused. The fireplace was a welcome surprise, especially since the heater in the living room did not work. Free Wi-Fi was advertised as one of the amenities, it was sporadic at best, especially on the weekend. The cable/dish kept going out during the football games on Saturday, which was frustrating. The water had a strong chemical bitter taste and the coffee made with the tap water was awful so we bought a gallon of spring water to use for instant coffee and toothbrushing. The guests in the room next door smoked in their room and the smell came through our bathroom vents all evening. The one plus is the location, it is within easy walking distance of a lot of the restaurants and shops, and a trolley stop is less than a block away for those further away. The desk person on Saturday called to ask me to get in touch with Orbitz because they had no record of payment and the hotel needed their money. I told her that the hotel was given a copy of our confirmation receipt and that it was the hotel's responsibility to deal with orbits, not mine. It was not my problem that their computers were down as I provided the clerk with a copy of our paperwork when we checked in. I will never stay in this particular hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone. It needs to be renovated, maintained better. It does not reflect what a normal Best Western should be and certainly does not merit three stars. The only reason that I gave it 2 stars was because of the location. Other than that, I would consider it a poor choice.

Great place to stay. Close to all amenities but not noisey. Smoky Mountain National Park right on the doorstep. One of our best trips. Must see Cades Cove - we saw a bear!

The hotel was a good location with a very comfortable bed. The staff was not very friendly, the front desk did not answer the phone, the ice machine was broken on a very hot weekend. The elevator broke down and we had to carry our luggage down three flights. I would not stay here again.

Excellent location for activities...ringside seat for the fireworks, shopping and restaurants. Room was very large, spotless and brand new! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Atrium next door was wonderful for breakfast Will visit again in the fall!
