Best Western Avalon Hotel New Orleans Guest Reviews
Hotel had very easy access from I-10, however the first time that I went into the bathroom, there was a giant cockroach on the floor... nasty. The A/C unit in the room was plenty cold, but didn't dehumidify which is a must in LA. The carpet was kind of damp the whole time. The shower temperature was very touchy.

Went to New Orleans for a family reunion 5/26/11 - 5/31/11 and had never stayed at this hotel in the past. Had stayed at the Hilton and Harrah's and was leary about this hotel because of some of the bad reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. Room was very nice and clean, free breakfast was very nice as well (hot waffels, bagels, toast, cereal, muffins and danish, etc) also had a laundry room so we could clean our clothes to go back to Ohio without having to do laundry upon our return. The front desk was very polite. Pool was also nice. I will stay at this Best Western when I return to New Orleans

big clean rooms, friendly staff. i would visit again, the only thing is the distance to the airport. but overall : very good
