Best Western Arosa Hotel Madrid

This hotel was nice but too far from the city. Lunch avaiable only as prepaid buffet style which was too much for me. Nice indoor swimming pool.

We got a smoking room as requested. However the room was small, with 2 chairs and not much room to put them. There was only gel in the bathroom - no shampoo or even soap. We did not contemplate the breakfast, as it was way too expensive. Wake-up call and booking shuttle bus was very efficient.

Bad looking shower, non-stable internet connection, no bath brush, in noon - no hot water (you have to call them to fix it). Elevators - Most horrible thing ever - 1 elevator is for 2 people, the other is for 4: In the morning you just cannot get one because they're full all the time. Sometime they can forget cleaning your room.

The Hotel is in a great location. The reception staff could be a lot more friendly than they are. I stayed in this Hotel previously and always breakfast was included in my booking. This time they have made changes and breakfast was not included. I had to pay separately for this for each day of my stay. This was dissappointing. The door staff were always friendly and the breakfast staff were too. They have internet access which seems to be new. Location though would be hard to beat

The room was not properly cleaned. The toilet door was so swollen with moisture that it would not close. The front desk staff were surly and unhelpful, other than a young woman on duty on the Saturday evening who was very nice. There was nothing I enjoyed about this place. Try somewhere else

Very good location close to the Gran Via, Madrid's main street. Our room was very clean, very good room service, but the television, and the channels, were really bad. The hotel was quite small and cosy but in my mind not a 4 star hotel. More a 3-3.5 star. I would however recommend it, especially since the price we got was very good.

Excellent central location off Puerta del Sol just a few minutes' walk from Plaza Mayor and Callao. We had a room at the back which was very quiet. Good selection hot/cold food for breakfast and friendly staff. You need to ask for a tea/coffee tray if you want one in your room.

The location is superb - you would not find any better! The hotel looks fine at first glance. The reception, lobby and breakfast area are very nice. The beds were very comfortable and great for a good night sleep. However, you will definitely notice small lifts (especially one). And the rrom looked like it needed refurbishment - the carpets were old and stained and the furniture was oldish. The personnel was neither friendly nor rude, answered all the questions but without any enthisiasm... In general I reckon it was a bargain for £50 paid for a twin room. I would definitely stay there again for this price.

Services was indifferent at best, except for the doormen who were great and very helpful. The breakfast was exceptionally good for European standards and breakfast staff were helpful. Can´t beat location. Ask for the vine room. Do it.

I love staying at this hotel. It is just beside the Gran Via metro station. Breakfast buffet was good. The bell boy is very helpful. If you stay in Madrid, please make an effort to visit Toledo. A half day tour package is good enough and you can book it through the hotel at Euro39. The only problem that i faced staying in Madrid is that NONE of them speak English. Whenever i ask for direction, they will reply in Spanish. Anyway, there are very very helpful. I love this city and this hotel.

Good hotel in wonderful location right in the Gran Via. We were given a room on the 6th floor overlooking the Gran Via which was spacious and comfortable. Excellent value for money and we will use this hotel again.
