The Hotel was lovely and clean and with helpful staff. The free shuttle bus was excellent

Had just driven accross Spain into the South of France and back again, what a great decission to book a room here. Staff were incredibly helpfull, facilities were fantastic and the free shuttle bus to the airport was a huge bonus. I booked this hotel as it is very close to the airport and had a very early flight. Also close to public transport if you feel the need to go back into Bacelona.

We booked a stay through a third party website (TPA) which noted solely the following on the policy section: "This reservation is non-refundable. Cancellations made at any time are subject to a 100% charge. If you need to change or cancel this hotel reservation, please do so through (TPA) rather than through the hotel directly." We needed to change the date of our stay due to having to cut our trip short as my mother's surgery date was moved up. I tried to move the date by 3 days since there was availablitily for a room which cost $1.09 USD more. The TPA told me my reservation was non-refundable, even though I wanted to change the date and not cancel the stay. I contacted Ester Montero, the reservation manager at the Best Western Alfa Aeropuerto Hotel Barcelona who said that the reservation was non-refundable and I will lose the $119.10 USD I paid. This is not customer service to me, particularly since I was not asking for a refund, I only wanted to change the date of my stay and pay the difference. It was not noted anywhere under the hotel policies that you could not do such a thing and should clearly be noted if this is the case. Needless to say, we were out additional funds because we had to pay to stay at a different hotel the date that we needed and if ever in Barcelona again, we will not stay at this hotel, nor use the TPA to book any travel stay.

Everything about this hotel is perfect for a quick stay between flights. The shuttle service is excellent, the staff is extremely accomodating, welcoming, and competent, offering wake-up calls and shuttle reservation times at registration. Extremely comfortable beds and delicious (fresh-squeezed?) orange juice with the desayuno express (4,90 euros for juice, croissants, and coffee).

hotel was fair...in the middle of no where with nothing around it to even walk to...hotel staff poor....waited in lobby to check in while front desk person was on phone but there were others that could have helped...and before the restaurant was open at 8:30, the only food was a pizza which I ordered....and it must have sat there for awhile because it was hard and not good and then others that came out after looked okay...and a pizza for 9 euros was all you could order, even though they had a menu ...they said pizza only.... I would never recommend this place, or stay there again...I would however try another of your hotels... and by the way, there was dark hairs on the floor in the room...yuck!!!
