Berjaya Hotel Colombo Guest Reviews
Pretty basic hotel - popular with locals for weddings so you have to get used to post-wedding music. Try to get a room on the top floor which is a bit quieter. Breakfast buffet is included but be prepared to swat a few flies from your table. The bar is always deserted. Staff are really helpful. Nice swimming pool and the public beach can be reached by a bridge over the railway line. There is an Indian beach restaurant but better choices are close by. Nearest shops are a five minute uphill walk.

This is a nice hotel for a location on the beach. The train between the hotel and the beach was annoying for the first couple of nights, but if you stay in Mt Lavinia, then it will happen anywhere as the train runs in front of all the hotels. The hotel is close to the fabulous restaurants on the beach which are a must-see. We were there as a family of three and we would not hesitate to return to the hotel to stay again.
