Hotel was a perfect location for us to explore, the beds were slightly too small, the view we had from room 1203 was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and courteous. We had a fantastic visit to NYC and The Bentley.

We enjoyed the view from the 17th floor and liked the style of the interior. It cost a lot though, and the location was a long walk from the subway.

The rooms were very nice and the staff was friendly. The only complaint that we had was the maids door outside our room kept slamming when they went in and out. All in all, very nice hotel!

We had reserved a king sized bedroom which upon arriving found out that they had no available king sized rooms and would need to put me and my wife in a two bed room. We were unable to switch out and were told that booking through third party sites did not specifically get us what we paid for ...? Aside from the front desk seemingly like they didn't have a clue what was going on when checking in us or other guests, the location and price was reasonable for a NYC trip I think.

Located on the quieter Upper East Side, easy walking distance to the subway and Central Park/5th Avenue. The rooftop bar/restaurant was great, with beautiful views of Manhattan. The staff in the bar were awesome and welcoming, sharing helpful tips so I could make the most of my trip in this amazing city. The room was larger than expected and very comfortable. The staff overall were very friendly and always helpful with the numerous queries I had throughout my stay. All in all, an incredible experience for my first trip to NY.

I had seen this hotel several times on this site and decided to give it a try. The lobby was very nice but once i entered the room I was very disappointed. the shower only has glass on the front end so the floor was wet. There were only 2 towels and one rag for 2 people. The heating system creaked all night so I got very little sleep. The faucet in the bathroom broke as i turned it on. The front desk was very helpful but once service arrived they stood in front of the door not wanting to leave. If my room had everything that it was suppose to have then I would not have to call the front desk for service. I was once again very disappointed in this hotel and I will never again visit.

We stayed 10 days (though 5-7 days should have been enough, I mean for NYC in general speaking) in this hotel, at non-smoking room (9th floor) and it was all right. About 2 kilometres walking to Times Square and other great NYC sightseeings. No need for a taxi. Just to longer distances, for example going to West Side ( ~4-5km or so) or to Lower Manhattan. Yes, its somewhat risky to visit Uptown I think... thinking getting robbed. Walking distance to next metro station was somewhat "long", about 15-20 minutes. Starbucks was near and a nice old-fashioned cinema. A view to Queensboro Bridge and the Roosevelt Island tram going up from the hotel room. It was cool to experience and the tram and the island as well. The rooftop bar and its all-round Upper East Side view especially at night was astonishing. One beer was somewhat $6 and the rooftop bar itself was kinda silent. We experienced that rooftop on Monday night. The hotel staff was very friendly. From one to three people opening doors 24/7 and asking how was your day etc. even getting an elevator to you. Sometimes the elevator was kinda irritating though as we had to wait it (sit down to benches) and waiting it to open doors (to hear the bell). But that bell-waiting made us to laugh. We had a piccolo too. Before getting to hotel we thought, if we had a piccolo at our hotel (familiar from the Hollywood movies). When you was in need of a taxi, one of the door guys whistled to get a taxi for you. And when ever you had questions to hotel staff, they answered very friendly. The people in NY were very friendly too. When you had typical tourist map on, they came to ask us, if we needed any help regarding how to go from place X to place Y. But the minuses.. the hotel room was not that quiet that you expected. We lived 9th floor, but still we were able to hear traffic sounds under us and some random people speaking (not that loud though) somewhere, probably our next-door neighbours. Some nights it was difficult to get sleep due to people honking (cars), or ambulance / police doing the weird and funny sounds (hospital is near Bentley Hotel). During the days those sounds made us laugh too. Although, if the officers were doing them just for trying to be funny. But you get to used it, thankfully. As Finnish I was wondering how short-tempered most of the NY drivers are (its very rare to hear honking in Finland), but I think its due to the city being so stressful and have that amount of traffic. This minus is fixable by setting up soundproofing rooms / windows. I thought, if we had some window open, when hearing the sounds, but we didn't. Other minus come from sometimes getting cold water from the shower and cleaners knocking the door after 17:00 asking to give us towels, after a hard day exploring the New York City and trying to get some rest. As EU member we are used to have our hotel room fully cleaned between 12:00 to 15:00 or so, when commonly off the room. But cleaners were very friendly too and they knocked the door before stepping in. After all, I think this hotel deserves 3 stars. The hotel is very good in terms of providing basic housing with rooms that are relatively large for New York.

I was in town to do the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer-which is a 39.3 mile walk over 2 days. We came in a few days early to visit with our niece who lives about 20 blocks away. We didn't spend much time in the room, we were too busy sightseeing and walking! Basically, we were just there to sleep. The beds are very comfortable and the room was big enough and not claustrophobic at all. Our room overlooked the Queensboro bridge as well as the East River. Nice window treatments to shut out the lights from the bridge at night but if you are a light sleeper, you can hear some traffic. The bathroom was fairly big with nice tile however, there was no fan in it and so it would get very steamy after showers. Because of this, there was also a strong mildewy smell. One thing that we did not have was refrigerator in the room which was surprising because it looked like there was a cabinet for one. It wasn't a big deal for us not to have one, however it would have been nice. The location was somewhat remote (comparatively) and you had to walk a few blocks to get to restaurants, shops and the subway which wasn't a big deal for us because we didn't mind walking but something to consider if you are traveling with children or an elderly person. The staff was friendly and efficient. No complaints. We used the business center and looked in at the fitness center which seemed adequate (we didn't use it). What might be nice is if the hotel offered free Wifi but again, not a big deal since we weren't there that much. Overall, I would give the Bentley an A- rating. With the main reason being they need to get rid of the mildew in the bathroom!

The staff was very friendly and held our luggage for us after we checked out so we could tour new york. They have their own taxis available to use, but we decided to take the subway. It's a little less than a mile from the station. The view of the 59th street bridge from the room is amazing. We were very comfortable in our room.

Nothing really bad about this hotel. Just very blend. Kind of deserted, they were doing some renovation on the lounge floor and you coulf hear them banging at 8 am...... First room I was offered had a view on the air conditioning units outside. I called and asked to be moved. They placed me on the 12th floor and it was much better. First two nights, the business center and gym were not available due to a big party. Would have been nice to know before arriving.

The hotel room was missing glasses, ice-bucket, and the towels were in short supply. The front desk staff seemed helpful, but when requesting things they seemed short and inattentive. There was only 1 elevator (of 3) working when we got there. They were sweltering and it felt like the a.c. was broken in the hallways. I don't even think there was a vending machine, or if there was we weren't able to find it.
