Bellevue Hotel Vienna
4 out of 5

Hotel Bellevue is the kind of hotel to look for when booking European stays. Our room was lovely. The staff is as helpful as possible. The location is somewhat off the beaten track but transportation--particularly the D tram, across the square--takes one right into central Vienna, using the Vienna travel pass. We enjoyed several concerts and the Christmas markets enormously--and of course shopping, as well.

The hotel has a perfect location and offers very good value for money, however do not expect to get top-class. The standard room I would rather rate three star and not four star, their more luxury rooms are a real full class higher. Their Internet provided by Swisscom for free in the lobby on a 30 minutes voucher basis (you can get as many free vouchers as you like but must login again every 30 minutes) is the worst I have seen in the past three years of traveling, it is terribly slow. Internet in the room has to be paid for at 10 Euros per day. Breakfast is also not included and does cost 15 Euros per person. Still overall a bargain for Vienna, very good location and decent room at an affordable price, some staff at the reception could maybe smile a bit more.

Close to the tram station (2-3 min walk) and metro station (~10 min walk). Large and clean room with 3 beds (although we booked for a standard double room). Hot water is missing on one morning during our stay (25 Jun) but it was not a big problem for us. Would be better if there was a kettle in the room.

It is a decent hotel. It is next to the tram line that takes you to the center. The buffet is good but 15 Euro's. There is a McDonalds and breakfast place very close. There is also an internet cafe on the street if you need to confirm any travel agent because they charge to do it. The staff were friendly though and very helpful in terms of getting around.

The location is fantastic as it is a few minutes walk to a tram and train stop. And there's a supermarket just opposite the hotel. Breakfast is delicious though the variety is not wide. Hotel looks nice and the room doesn't have any cigarette smell. Price is good but internet rate is expensive!

The service was a bit off-ish when we strolled in sweating with our back-packs, got assigned our suite (clearly an up-grade), and they realised how little we had paid. However, the room was huge and excellent. The hotel was slightly dated but still fairly grand. Location not the best for sight-seeing, but was good for the train station.

We got a good deal on this place. It looks elegant with wall to wall carpets and pictures on the walls. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. You can take the tram about 100 feet from the hotel. We found the supermarket right in front of the hotel very convenient, especially after hours.

Reasonably priced hotel in good location for quick and easy access by tram to city centre. Friendly staff. Often used by coach tour parties. Basic but adequate breakfast. I would say its a good 3*.
