The Bellevue Hotel Plitvice is located just a short walk away from Plitvice Lakes National Park - which covers an area of nearly 30,000 hectares. Guests can take various tours around the park, either on foot or by boat. Other than exploring the park, which can take around six days, trips out from this hotel include the town of Slung on the Slunjcica River, which is an ancient medieval city that includes Rastoke - a miller settlement which looks like a fairytale village. Dreznik is another historical town worth visiting.

Location
The Bellevue Hotel is located just 100 metres from the centre of town and around 200 metres from the bus station. Within the park itself guests are recommended to see the Cascades waterfalls.

The bus stop is only 300 metres from the hotel, if you are coming from split it is the second bus stop once you reach Plitvice. The hotel is less than a 2 minute walk to the information centre. Allow yourself at least 6 hours to tour the lakes, they are magnificent. Only a few minutes walk to one of the lakes where you can also get a boat to another of the lakes. Room was small with a balcony, but quite adequate. Breakfast was good. The restaurant was not open for dinner, but there was a restaurant about 2 minutes away which served good food and there are also 2 other hotels in close proximity.

60/70s style needs some upgrading. 3-bedded room hostel-ish, dble not so. Breakfast good tho hot buffet is cocktail franks & boiled egg. Restauran Poljana not recommended. Hotel Plitvice best for meals.

The quality of the facilities were in-line with what I expected--clean, well maintained, functional, but not fancy. However, the service was very unhelpful and downright rude. If service is important to you, you may be advised to pony up a little more cash to stay at one of the other properties at the park.
