Hasselt enjoys a maritime temperate climate with cool summers and mild winters. Hasselt’s nearest airport is Brussels Airport, which is approximately one hour’s drive away from the city centre. Brussels National Airport railway station, found at the airport, offers direct services to Hasselt. De Lijn provides bus transportation to and from Hasselt.
