The Ghislenghien climate is classified as an oceanic climate. In summer, average high temperatures reach 22°C, and they drop to around 6°C in January. There is a fair amount of rain spread throughout the year, and very occasionally the odd snowfall in winter.
Getting There & Around
Brussels Airport is the nearest international airport with flights from all around the world. Buses also run from Belgium's capital to the town. You may also hire a car at the airport or get a taxi for the short trip to Ghislenghien.
There is a reasonable bus network around the area, and in the regional capital Mons there is a free shuttle bus service, ideal for visiting the festival and historic sites. Hiring a car is a good option for travelling around, and there are always taxis available.
