Hotel only 20% occupied but they gave me a room on an inner hallway facing the street with many rooms available on the beachside. Stairwells have steel bars up and down to prevent jumpers, I think I heard Johnny Cash singing as I climbed the 4 flights to my closet of a room (I have bad knees and am 68). Highly recommend this place for the massochist or the Marquis de Sade and no others.

Driving through Panama City Beach to Tampa and stopped for the night. Older place with typical beach look, but clean and a great view of the beach and gulf. What made it special was the staff. Very nice and accommodating. Look forward to a return visit.

I was given the option to upgrade to a beachfront room for only $11, it was well worth it! Gorgeous beach, amazng views and an excellent place to eat next door! 2 downsides, no wifi in your room you have to sit in the breakfast area, and no elevators so you have to haul your stuff up or down 2 flights of stairs depending on your room! However for the price im not complaining! ALready planning my next trip

This was me and my husband's third time staying at this hotel. The price is one of the lowest for a place to stay at that is on the beach. However, it has gone greatly downhill. Our room had a smell of mildew because the air conditioner was leaking on the carpet, we had to go buy air freshener to remedy this. The balcony door was very difficult to open, you would have to rock it back and forth many times to open. The TV had a loud noise when it was turned on and had two 1-inch wide lines going across the side and top of the screen. The room came with a mini-fridge and microwave, but there wasn't any form of a table to eat anything on. The shower would shift temperatures on its own from warm to cold. And the room just showed over all wear and tear. This hotel would be a perfect place for the party goer, since you don't plan on staying in the room except only to sleep. What we expect from our stay is going to the beach and shopping, but coming back to the room periodically to cool off, snack, and nap. So we would like the room to be more comfortable than this. It would have been better if they would renovate the place.
