This hotel is very nice. Staff extremely helpful. A lot of choices for food.Guadalupe at front desk great, so was Omar. Some rooms noisy but it's a resort in Cancun. People coming around asking if you want drinks around pool. Entertainment o.k. could of been better. All in all great time.

To begin, I booked a room with a king bed. Upon check-in, the front desk assistant informed me that they had no record of such a booking for a king bed. He also stated that the hotel was fully occupied instructing us to come back in the morning for a room change. Our first room was not maintained and was very dirty. The building was connected to the lobby which resulted in extreme levels of noise from intoxicated guests throughout all hours of the night. We did not sleep that night. In the morning we went to the breakfast buffet and found the food to be cold. The same was true for lunch and dinner. We were not satisfied with the service, rooms and food and decided to upgrade to the Grand Oasis for 280 USD. We were told this upgrade would give us ocean view with newer rooms, better service and a wider selection of food. It is to my displeasure to say that I spent the money to upgrade for 280USD let alone spend 2400USD for the whole trip. The services that were promised were nonexistent. The room was a complete downgrade with dirty floors, a puddle around the toilet, dirty mirrors and a dirty mattress. The rest of the buffets had a lingering odor that deterred anyone from the food. We chose to dine at a Brazilian steak house one night where my girlfriend ate the sirloin steak. Immediately after consuming the meat she became ill experiencing uncontrollable stomach issues and projectile vomit. Unfortunately we were forced to use the private medical services of the hotel. Upon arrival to the medical office where the doctor was supposed to be bilingual, yet spoke no English, my girlfriend was losing consciousness and the doctor refused to give her water. The medical facility was far under-equipped and even lacked a wheel chair. I carried her to the restroom where she continued to lose consciousness while experiencing stomach issues. The doctor offered no help. We were charged 310USD (which he put in his pocket) for terrible services rendered and for medicine to treat stomach cramps and stomach issues. My girlfriend was forced to stay in bed for the remainder of the trip. This was the worst vacation I have ever taken.

This was my third time in Cancun, and by far, this has been the best hotel where I have stayed. The staff is friendly, the main tower/lobby is amazingly designed and decorated, the pools are pretty big and there are plenty of options for food. I stayed in a room facing the sea in one of the towers, the hallways and the room were always very clean, but the room is very basic, it just had two beds, a TV, a night table and a long concrete structure sticking out of the wall which I used as a dresser to put all the clothes. The room just looked empty/basic.

It seems that they just hired all the staff at the hotel. It was frustrating that even the "concierge staff" had no information about the activities that were going to take place to celebrate the New Year. The morning of the 31st. we were told that we had to made reservations for dinner. The Sushi restaurant was very good but it took between 30 to 45 min to get our food. The rooms were clean but didn't have storage (not a single drawer) and the closet was very small.

Our first visit to Cancun. We went with our two daughters 17 and 20. The resort is very large and the pool areas have a party section (north side) and a quite area and a couple of family (small children) areas. We went during Christmas break 2011 and didn't have any problem getting into the food buffets, and barely any lines for the drinks bars. Food was good and had a variety of selections. It was warm and clear everyday with temps in the 80's. Rooms were small, but we only slept there anyway. Bring lots of $1 for tips, the staff appreciates it. Location of hotel is a 10 minute bus ride to flea market in Cancun. $1 per person gets you a one-way ticket to town. Fabulous vacation, would go again.

This is best hotel for location, service and food. I stayed there for 5 days and 4 nights with bunch of single buddies. We had a blast. We also saw couples and family with kids. They were having their own good time by quiet pool. Hotel staff is great. Prompt service. Beach is very nice and pools are good too. Food was excellent. Best food I have ever eaten. I been to Cancun multiple times and this hotel had best food thus far. I am vegetarian and I was happy with it. Be sure to make reservations at Mexican restaurant, they have best food in hotel. If you are in US, you can easily pay $100 for food of that quality. Few cons: Bathroom wasn't top notch. And, we brought couple of female friends to our room and she puked all over floor and bed. We had to call hotel staff to clean it up and they charged us $90 for cleaning services. Wasn't too happy about that.

Terrible food. No ac in resturants. Mini fridge is limited to 2 beers 2 sodas 2 waters per day. Room service takes an hr for delivery of bad food....cant order more pop or beer. No staff to deliver food or drinks to you on beach. Called 4 times to have fridge refilled. Dreams spa in Cancun was the best we have ever had. Waited on hand and foot. Sorry....but when you have to beg for 2 more cheap beers....thats sad. Never go back.

Only got our rooms 2 hours after 3pm check in time due to poor, disorganised service. Received the room card, was told our room was ready but upon entry, the room was still a disgrace, the memory of the mess etched in our minds the 2 nights we were there. The staff were also rude and kept pestering us to join the time share programme in the guise of presenting us our 'welcome gift'. Please do not promote this hotel as a 'tranquil' and 'relaxing', 'luxury' hotel. It is a haven for teenagers who love to party, not suitable for a family of adults who have travelled from half way across the world and want a truly relaxing holiday.

This is the third time that we have stayed at this resort. This time we stayed in the pyramid. We felt that the rooms were a little basic and in need of an upgrade. Apart from that we could not fault the hotel in everything else that it provided. We had a really good holiday and really enjoyed the variety of restaurants that the hotel offers. With a little more modernisation in the accomodation then this hotel could be hard to beat.

We could not use all the facilities on offer but those that we used were first class. We would use this hotel again should we be holidaying in Cancun again. We would recommend this hotel to any active person.
