Most of the experience that we had was okay. The staff was very nice, but absent much of the time. Several times, we needed help from the front desk. Nobody was at the desk on some occasions. We returned to our room and attempted to call. We kept trying for almost 1/2 hour. Finally, someone answered. The other thing that was concerning was security. We were in a room on the ground floor that was close to the stairwell and the outside door. The door is supposed to be locked and accessible from the outside only by using a room key. The key reader did not work, but worse, the door wouldn't close or lock, so we had a steady parade of people entering and leaving the hotel without having to utilize room keys. At one point on Sunday night, we heard running, a door being slammed open (it sounded like it hit something then rebounded), the a blood curdling scream from a female. Our assumption was a crime had occurred. We grabbed our guns and ran into the hall. The noise was gone, but then, a group of teenage girls came running through the door, with several of them pushing each other trying to get in at the same time. One of them giggled, then screamed. At that point, it became obvious what was going on. The girls never saw the guns, but I called the front desk (this was when it took almost 1/2 hour to get someone to answer the phone) and asked them to investigate, stop the screaming and running in and out, and speak with the girls' adult supervisors, who obviously did not care how they were acting, or was not present. They assured me they would take a look. I have no idea if they ever came down the hall, but the disruptions continued unabated for over an hour. These girls created a VERY dangerous situation that could have turned deadly under the wrong circumstances. Had the door been properly secured, it is doubtful that they could have entered and left with impunity. Additionally, the front door of the hotel was locked, and required a key to enter the hotel. Our keys would not open the doors and we had to wait for quite a while until the manager answered the doorbell. The amenities were fine, the rooms were adequately clean, but attentive customer service and security were major issues.

room wasnt vacuumed soup scum in the shower mold on ceiling walls are paper thin. but cheaper than any where else

Especially appreciated the shuttle service. Driver was especially helpful in picking up our rental car. We would return if circumstances are the same as this trip.

We booked at the Baymont so we could catch a few hours sleep before our grandson's 6 am flight. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, vending machines were stocked and the air conditioner worked like a charm. Excellent room for the price.
