This hotel is in a seedy area and the hotel itself was definitely in need of attention. The carpets in the halls were stained, the carpet in the room was frayed and coming up in the doorways. The beds had thin box springs and mattresses. I've stayed at 2 star hotels that were of equal or less cost and they were much nicer.

I TRIED to check in after a 4 hour drive and found that my reservation was not on file. The clerk was less than welcoming. The hotel had no record of me! While the clerk searched I called Orbitz and confirmed that I had a reservation which I did.. While waiting, I looked around to see that the lobby was rather unattractive, not that clean and I should have taken that opportunity to make other plans as there were at least 5 other hotels in the area. I was too tired to think. The snafu was worked out and I spent the night in a room that was not uncomfortable but less than clean to my satisfaction There was a used cup behind one chair, the bed spread was on top of the cabinet (not on the bed) the shower and sink both backed up so that I finished my shower standing in 2 inches of water and the carpet needed vacuuming. There was a used shampoo vile in the shower and the "new one" on the counter was not NEW! The heating unit was fine though not regular.. so the room got too cold or too hot.. The bed was OK . the phone worked (but I used my cell) and the TV was old but worked.There were not enough AC plugs available so I had to unplug the clock to plug in my laptop. Wifi and a lighting fixtures worked except the one that was not plugged in. I did N0T eat their free breakfast in the morning choosing to leave and eat at Bob Evans which is close by and much cleaner on my way to the airport. It was not horrible but for probably $10 to $20 more I could have been HAPPY! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and I am very upset that Orbitz even offers this on their site. The pictures on the site are obviously from years ago and were VERY misleading. And the Orbitz staff while helpful on the phone, clearly should have known that something was awry since the clerk told me this happens with Orbitz and their management ALOT! I am VERY unhappy with this experience! DO NOT STAY HERE!! IS THAT CLEAR??

Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast included fresh waffles and a large selection.

Went on the Baymont reputation and name but this is clearly managed by someone else! From reading earlier reviews, I think management must have changed fairly recently. The lobby and hallway floors were so stained and dirty. No air conditioning in elevators or hallways. The hallways smelled very badly. Were given an already occupied room at first. No cups for water or the coffee that was supplied. Looks like they refill or reuse shampoo bottles as ours was already used part way. Small, thin, pillows on the bed. The only good things was the friendliness of the front desk guy when we checked in and the air in the room worked great. The bed looked clean but the towels were debatable. The cereal at the breakfast was stale. Would rate this like a motel 6 at a 3 star price.
