Ideal for young travellers who wish to party all night very noisy . But ideal location to pickup your mobile home from. Within walking distance to everything in Wellington.

Great location, right in the center of town & Amazing views. Enjoyed stay, nice vibe. Great pricing also, just watch out for hidden costs (eg:parking, internet) tehy start adding up.

We needed a place that would take two children and two adults in a room at reasonable rates. We found Base Wellington Backpackers and judging by the number of children there others have found it also provides a necessary service. We will go back again.

Maybe need more staff on at busy times as we had to wait a rather long time for general enquires at reception when big groups where checking in. Would also be better if there was a coin operated machine for internet tickets rather than waiting to get a ticket from reception when it is busy. Should not have a key deposit system for twin/ double rooms as is very inconvenient when checking in. Lockers are a very good idea for storing bags if room is not ready. Overall very good, lots of great facilities and very handy for Wellington shops and points of interest and especially having airport bus stop just round the corner! Would recommend and stay again! :)
