Barock Hotel Paris Guest Reviews
The hotel is very small and walkway is narrow. The room is small but the location is convenient as it is within walking distance from the METRO and the main train station. Nice to have free Wifi connection in the room. Unfortunately, the hotel do not provide facility for drinking hot water in the room, This will be great especially in the winter period. I just cannot understand why it is rated a four star hotel??

After taking the train from CDG Airport...About a 45 minute trainride at about 10 Euro per person, we arrived at Gare du Nord...kinda a maze finding your way out of the station...however..after getting out into "daylight" it was even a bigger maze finding your way to the hotel...no rime or reason to the way the streets run, and the street names can be hard to find...written on little blue signs on the walls of the buildings...Hovever after walking around for a good 40 minutes..(Lost at times)...we finally found it. Rooms are very tiny, & little worn, but clean and otherwise acceptable. Nice location & easy walking distance from the Opera...where you can catch a sightseeing bus (Double Decker) that will take you to all the tourist places worth seeing for about 26 Euro pr person for a two day ticket...you can hop on, hop off at each location & buses run every 10 minutes all day long between 8am thru appx 10pm.... Enjoyed our short stay, but highly recomend Taxi or shuttle to & from the hotel...if not familiar..:-)

This must be the worst "4 star" hotel I've ever been in. It is not diserve 2 stars. It is a shame Ebookers keeps this availible for booking. If I ever wanted my money back this is the time. I'm stunned by the poor quality. The room was dirty, shower did not work, wallpaper was stained and the breakfast room in the cellar smelled foul. Staff seems like they've given up trying which is understandable. I have never written a commentary like this but there is no other way to put it. Do avoid this hotel!

Small and simple room but reasonable value for the location, at walking distance from the Gare du Nord TGV station. Staff at reception desk was nice and helpful, and wifi internet access is fast and free. The only annoyance was the shower in the bathroom, I was on the 5th floor and the water pressure was so low that the flow of water coming from the shower head was literally miserable.

Very nice hotel in a place where you would not necessarily think about looking. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, 24h concierge: perfect for what I was looking for.
