A very nice hotel with superb staff who were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. From the reception staff to the waiters and cleaners we were very impressed with them all. The food at La Galea is superb, beautifully displayed and a vast choice of both hot and cold dishes. We were given a ground floor room (with fridge) and a ground floor studio with kitchenette and both were clean and very nicely presented and laid out with all we could need for our stay. We would definately stay at La Galea again but would ask for upper floor rooms which are better located, as we feel that booking through HotelClub and getting a cheap rate also means you are allocated the least desirable rooms - but that is to be expected really and is not really a criticism of this fabulous hotel. I would go back today if I could and am happy to recommend La Galea to others.

We had our vacation in Lanzarote from 18-25 Dec 07. On the first 2 days, it rained heavily. Ground level/studio rooms could not withstand rain. Our room 109 was flooded. We were then moved the next day to room 150. The room was facing the pool and big. Nicely located because the sun was shining at our balcony. However, there were ants and we could not put any opened food outside the fridge. There was a connecting door to our neighbour's room, so whatever they said, we could hear them and vice versa. Hotel staff were nice and friendly, even in the restaurant. We had half pension so breakfast and dinner were provided. We initially planned to eat out for dinner at least 3 out of the 8 days that we stayed in Lanzarote. However, the hotel restaurant buffet was too good, breakfast and dinner were great. Location is perfect, right at the centre of Costa Teguise. The price was reasonably good as we booked via [your website]. In all, we enjoyed our trip and stay.
