Location
The Barcelo Cologne City Center Hotel is located at the Rudolfplatz, across from the Hahnentorburg and only a few minutes from the main shopping area. The famous Dom cathedral is just a 15-minute walk away.
Rooms
All 301 rooms at the Hotel are equipped with cable TV and air-conditioning. Most of the rooms offer views of the city and the famous Dom cathedral. The king superior, junior suite and presidential suite feature a coffee maker.
Restaurant
The Hotel serves rich breakfast buffet with hot and cold dishes, coffee, juices and sparkling wine is each morning at the breakfast room. International cuisine is served at the Arenas Restaurant, which features a live cooking station where guests can watch the chefs at work.

We spent 3 nights and it was very convenient as shopping in Xmas Markets. the hotel offered a good quality hotel accommodation, two nice big down pillows per person and more/different pillows if required. Only negative was the very smoky bar - yuck! also, at 20 euros per person, the breakfast was expensive.

An oasis in the busy area of Cologne. At the reception the staff speak Spanish fluently and are very friendly.

Hotel was very clean, rooms a good size. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Location great, within walking distance of cathedral and other sights. Price reasonable (we didn't have breakfast included so cannot comment on food at hotel).

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable though the pillows were not. We had a room looking towards the Cathedral - not sure it is worth the price difference for one view vs the other. Right outside we could see one of the medieval city gates on Rudolfplatz -- however, the outside of the windows of the hotel were very very dirty. Parking was directly below the hotel - I think we paid 16 euros for the night. The city is very walkable and there are lots of shops/restaurants surrounding the Hotel but if you rather not walk the tram stop is right outside.

It is a nice hotel near the center of the city. It does not include breakfast.
