The Saffron Restaurant was a disappointment---long on ambiance, short on flavor. Having access to 4 other resort-hotels was fun. At the spa, the massage services were great, but the facial was disappointing.

Great atmosphere around the lobby, but the interior and exterior of the villa was a little tacky.

Spa is wonderful. Beach doesn't have much shade and the waves were too big for kids to swim. Food was good all round.

Facilities and villa are as good as expected. I was upgraded from Garden Villa to Jacuzzi Villa. However, I don't think I would've paid more for a jacuzzi villa, as I hardly used it. A pool villa would be worthwhile, if you'd like something better than the Garden Villa. Checkout took 30 minutes, mainly because they didn't have enough staff to support the flood of check-ins and checkouts that day. Otherwise the hotel is great. The local beach resturants (which are 50-80% cheaper than the resort restaurants) have great food and great value.

Having visited this resort shortly after it opened, this is our first re-visit. There were plenty of changes, mostly for the better. The resort is much bigger now (more villas as well as bigger spa) but it was good to see that the resort has been very well maintained over the years. Will definitely not leave it too long before we go back again.
