Best hotel we've been in Bangkok. Super friendly staff, good food, good location (about 10 min. walk to skytrain), all-in-all just perfect.

I was, frankly, disappointed by the Banyan Tree. The first room I was assigned smelled of mildew; they were quite nice about first spraying the room and then moving me to anothe the next day when the spray didn't help, but a strong smell of mildew is not what you expect in a first-class hotel. The food was also a disappointment; the breakfast and dinner buffets not nearly up to the standard I have experienced in other Bangkok 5-stars. The Thai restaurant Saffron was better, although I was taken aback when the five kinds of rice available were described in terms of their supposed health-giving qualities without one word about their taste (which was pretty dry and dull)! Even the fabled spa was so-so; the massage left me the next morning not relaxed or invigorated but just sore (and I am a massage veteran), and I felt that I was being hurried along throughout. The aesthetics of the Banyan Tree are lovely, with some spectacular views, but I expected more from this brand.

This is an upmarket hotel that provided a brilliant level of comfort, facilities and service. Not the cheapest option in Bangkok but for value it was fantastic - an experience not to be missed.

Upon arrival we found the room to be a bit dirty. Dust on the table, cupboard etc. In the toilet we found a rusty hairclip in the sink. The pool is very small and the gym is outdated. The room is quite spacious and we had a nice view at 48th floor. All in all, this hotel needs an overhaul.

One of my very favorite hotels in Bangkok; wonderful service and hospitality, beautiful rooms with warm decor, amazing views, great fitness facilities. The beautiful Vertigo restaurant on the 61st floor is pricey but worth it.

I was impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff....there seemed to be a lot of confusion paying the bill at the end of my stay...however other than that little hiccup my room, business centre, staff at Vertigo etc was fabulous...thanks all

Breakfast buffet located on the lower ground floor overlooking a Japanese garden was very tranquil. Banyan Tree spa was fantastic, felt like a rockstar! Service was great, staff very attentive, room decor is stuck in the 80's but was very clean and comfortable. Location, a little out of the way, stuck in the business district, but taxis are an easy way to get around the city. Overall a great stay!

Banyan Tree hotel is the best! This is the most easy way to express the kind of upper level style and class you will find here! They have the highest level of service ever seen in hotels around the world. Only very large beautiful suites with outstanding view over BKK. Very nice pool area at 25 floor and the best Bar in the world (Moon bar) open air 62 floors up in the sky! not to forget Vertigo as well.

Pool area is perfekt & the restaurant/Bar on the top of the hotel (open air) is a trouly mind blower! (63 floor up in the sky). not to forget a SPA in world class! This hotel is as good as it gets! really..............

The service was excellent especially the concierge who was very helpful. The only gripe is that you have to ask not to make a charity donation otherwise it is added to your bill. Otherwise excellent and highly recommended.
