Dhaka Climate
Dhaka is hot and humid year round, and it rains heavily from May through October (monsoon season), when 25-35 cm is the average monthly precipitation. The hottest months are April through September, with highs of 27-30°C, while the coolest months are December and January, with highs of 14-16 °C.
Getting There & Around
Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport serves Dhaka as well as the rest of Bangladesh, and the city serves as a major bus hub with several regional and luxury tour coach lines. The other main mode of transport is by ferries, which leave the port at Sadarghat.
Getting around Dhaka is cheap and easy, as there are a multitude of local transportation options such as taxis, auto and cycle rickshaws, and buses.
